In the spring of 1999, Temitope welcomed a set of twins. Ben, the proud father of the twins, chose this time around to do things differently from his people. Even as everyone was filled with surprise at the news of the girls who came into the world at 6:30 a.m., the surprise they got on the seventh day startled them.

Baba Ibeji, with full anticipation that the beautiful girls would be named in line with their culture, got the best surprise. Ben Adeleke named his daughters Temitope and Temidun as opposed to Taiye and Kehinde, given to twins at birth.

Ben, like Baba Ibeji, also insisted that his daughters be called those names, as he had requested. After all, ile n wo ki a to omo loruko. He smiled as he remembered how he had behaved at Temitope’s birth, concluding that ‘what goes around surely comes around.’
